RNDC Touts Digital Transformation As eRNDC Platform Reaches 17 States

February 2, 2023

Republic National Distributing Co. (RNDC) says it’s making strong progress in its ongoing e-commerce initiatives, with its eRNDC digital platform expanding to 17 states in 2022. The eRNDC platform processed 350,000 orders across RNDC’s national footprint last year on 69% customer growth. Those gains were driven by “in-app collaboration with RNDC sales associates and a customized user experience,” according to the company.

“The amazing growth eRNDC has shown in the past four years proves that the beverage alcohol industry is craving an enhanced digital experience,” said RNDC president and CEO Nick Mehall. “In 2023, we’ll further personalize the sales experience and unite the three-tier system across our growing digital ecosystem.” RNDC is the second-largest spirits and wine distributor nationally with estimated 2022 revenues of $13 billion, according to Shanken’s Impact Newsletter, and operations in 38 states and Washington D.C.

Rolled out in 2019, eRNDC last year added digital access in Oregon and Washington, along with a piloted program for California, where RNDC has been in expansion mode. Among the platform’s features, “Users receive personalized insights and product recommendations based on their locations, local licensing requirements, category interests, and regional product availability,” RNDC said.

As it looks to continue its digital transformation in 2023, RNDC appointed Emily Xu as SVP, e-commerce last fall. The veteran of Crate & Barrel and Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams will lead those efforts, with the company planning to enter more markets and continue investing in the eRNDC user experience with new app features this year.—Daniel Marsteller
