March 1, 2023•Anheuser-Busch’s Nütrl Vodka Seltzer has kicked off its first national ad campaign, featuring Saturday Night Live cast member Chloe Fineman. In the campaign, created by the Martin Agency, Fineman plays Gunter, Nütrl’s new seltzer sommelier, who introduces consumers to the brand’s portfolio through four 15-second and four six-second spots. The ads will run nationally through digital, social, out of home, radio, and retail channels through 2023. Last year, Nütrl soared to 900,000 cases in the U.S., according to Impact Databank, up from just 20,000 cases a year earlier.
•Shaw-Ross International Importers has promoted Tom O’Hara to senior vice president, eastern region. O’Hara has been with Shaw-Ross since 2017 and has over three decades of industry experience, including time spent at Banfi Vintners and Excelsior Wines. In addition to promoting O’Hara, Shaw-Ross has hired Jason Fabrizio as the company’s new general manager for California and Hawaii. Fabrizio joins the company from Terlato and has also worked at Southern Glazer’s, Constellation, and Palm Bay, among others.
•Milton, Delaware-based Dogfish Head, part of Boston Beer, is launching new flavors in its line of canned cocktails. The brand already has several offerings that pay homage to the region’s Crush cocktail, like Blood Orange & Mango Vodka Crush and Lemon & Lime Gin Crush. Joining them are Grapefruit & Pomegranate Vodka Crush and Pineapple & Orange Rum Crush, the latter of which is exclusive to the Crush Variety 8-Pack, itself a new addition to the lineup. They’re now available nationwide. Dogfish Head’s RTD portfolio was up 73% to 295,000 cases last year, according to Impact Databank.
