Prosecco Exports To The U.S. Rise 6%, As Global Value Tops $3 Billion

Prosecco continues to gain favor with consumers both in the U.S. and globally, with overall category value surpassing €3 billion ($3.2b) in 2022. The U.S., the category’s largest market, saw shipments climb 6% to 134 million bottles (11.2 million cases), just ahead of the U.K. at 130 million bottles.

The bubbly’s native Italy is next at 120 million bottles, and Germany and France are also leading markets. According to Impact Databank, U.S. market leader La Marca, from E.&J. Gallo, crossed 3 million cases stateside last year on 11% growth.—Daniel Marsteller
