•Constellation Brands has acquired a minority stake in the non-alcoholic Töst brand through its venture capital arm. Terms weren’t disclosed. Billed as a flavor-forward and alcohol-free sparkling beverage brand, Töst is currently sold in 40-plus states and seven countries, offered in original and rosé varieties. Mallika Monteiro, EVP and chief growth, strategy, and digital officer at Constellation Brands, said, “Our investment in Töst allows us to continue to optimize our higher-end portfolio by providing an alcohol-free beverage with a complex flavor profile for consumers that complements their lifestyle across a variety of occasions.”

•Edrington’s Highland Park has released Cask Strength No. 4, the latest limited edition release from the Orkney-based distillery. The fourth bottling of Highland Park’s single malt at cask strength comes in at 64.3% abv and is blended from a combination of whiskies aged in first-fill Sherry seasoned European oak casks, ex-Bourbon casks, first-fill Sherry seasoned American oak casks, first-fill ex-Port hogsheads, as well as a few refill casks. The barrels were selected by master whisky maker Gordon Motion. Highland Park Cask Strength No. 4 is now available across the U.S. in limited quantities for a suggested price of $100 a bottle.

•Deep Eddy Vodka is launching an extension to its RTD line. Following the success of Deep Eddy Vodka + Soda, the latest category for the brand is Vodka + Tea Hard Seltzers. Launching in a variety of flavors including lemon tea, sweet tea, and peach tea, each can of Deep Eddy Vodka + Tea Hard Seltzer is 180 calories, gluten free and is at 4.5% abv. The newest Deep Eddy hard seltzers are available nationwide in a 6-pack variety pack for a suggested $17. Deep Eddy RTDs quadrupled last year to 143,000 cases, according to Impact Databank.
