U.S., E.U. In Discord Over Organic Wine Labeling
February 28, 2012The U.S. and European Union’s different definitions of organic wine have sparked a controversy over how wine is labeled in the U.S. market. Wine Spectator reports that the discrepancy, which revolves around the use of added sulfites in wine, has left “organic wine” on unequal footing in the recently signed three-year trade accord between the U.S. and E.U.
