Washington’s Dry Fly Craft Distillery Posts 38% Volume Growth

August 23, 2012

Washington craft spirits producer Dry Fly Distilling tells Shanken News Daily its volume rose 38% to 8,000 cases in its fiscal year ended June 30, with sales hitting $1.8 million. The company, founded by former marketing execs Kent Fleischmann and Don Poffenroth in 2007, said its Dry Fly vodka has been driving growth of late, and distribution has expanded into 40 states.

In addition to Dry Fly’s current stable, which includes vodka, gin, wheat whiskey and Bourbon, Fleischmann says four new products will hit the market around the holidays. Those will include two new wheat whiskey offerings (one cask-strength, one Port-finished), a barrel-aged gin and a yet-to-be-revealed “Whiskey X,” all of which will sell for between $24.95–$34.95 a 375-ml. bottle.
