•Cooperstown, New York-based Brewery Ommegang has debuted a new fall seasonal beer, Scythe & Sickle Harvest Ale. Available this month through November, Scythe & Sickle will be available on draft and in 12-ounce bottles. It’s an amber ale brewed with a variety of malts, including pils, rye flakes and oat flakes. Ommegang is currently available in 43 states across the country. Last month, it unveiled new labeling and branding across its full craft beer portfolio.

•Chicago’s Goose Island Beer Co. is prepping the release of Casimir, the brewery’s next entry in its Fulton & Wood series. Made with Polish hops and brewed with caraway seeds, the brew will be the fifth offering in the experimental range, following last month’s launch of Gran Gås. Like previous Fulton & Wood rollouts, Casimir will be available on draft throughout the Chicago metro area for a limited time. Begun at the start of this year, the Fulton & Wood series is the product of several small groups of Goose Island brewers, with each team given the opportunity to create an innovative small-batch beer.
