E&J Gallo Buys Lake County’s Snows Lake Vineyard
September 17, 2012E&J Gallo has confirmed the purchase of Snows Lake Vineyard in California’s Lake County, including 2,000 acres, 800 of which are planted. The deal, financial terms of which weren’t disclosed, also includes the Snows Lake brand, known for Cabernet Sauvignon above the $30 mark. A Gallo spokesperson told Shanken News Daily that Snows Lake Vineyard would be “a good Cabernet source” for the company looking ahead.
Addressing the concerns of other wineries who currently source grapes from Snows Lake, the spokesperson added, “Gallo looks forward to working with the customers who have been buying grapes from Snows Lake.”
