•Boston Beer Co. is prepping the release of a new variety pack, the Samuel Adams Hop Tour.The new six-pack offering will include Samuel Adams Latitude 48 IPA, Samuel Adams Whitewater IPA and Samuel Adams Noble Pils. The three brews are made with hops from different regions around the world, including Germany, Australia, the Czech Republic, U.K. and U.S., for a total of 13 different varieties.

•Portland, Maine-based Shipyard Brewing Co. has released the first selection in a new line of limited edition Bourbon barrel-aged ales. Shipyard has made 350 cases of Bourbon Barrel-Aged Double ESB available in four states—Maine, New Hampshire, Florida and California. They will also release 350 cases of Bourbon Barrel-Aged Smashed Pumpkin to select markets in October and a limited number of cases of another expression, Bourbon Barrel-Aged Prelude, in December. The beers have all been brewed and cellar-aged for more than 100 days in Bourbon barrels. They will be priced at $14.99 a 750-ml. Shipyard produces a variety of year-round and specialty brews—including its popular Shipyard Export Ale and fall seasonal Pumpkinhead Ale—and has distribution in 35 states.

Brooklyn Brewery will release “Dial M for Mild,” the fourth beer in The Worshipful Company of Brewers series, on September 28. Designed by brewer Al Duvall, the 4%-abv dark mild ale was brewed with pale, black, crystal, chocolate and honey malts. It will be served on tap at the Brooklyn Brewery tasting room. The Worshipful Company of Brewers series allows each of the company’s brewers to take a turn creating their own beer and compete for a chance to move up to the Brewmaster’s Reserve line. The first three beers in the series included Oishi, a single-hop Belgian-inspired session ale created by Tom Villa; Centerfold, a West Coast Pale Ale by Rob Lemery; and The River, a barrel-aged Belgian pale ale by Dan Moss.
