RumChata Shows Hot Hand As Holiday Selling Season Begins
November 28, 2012RumChata cream liqueur enters the holiday season as one of the hottest brands in the U.S. spirits market. Through the first 11 months of 2012, RumChata has sold more than 330,000 nine-liter cases—a sharp rise from the 64,000 cases the brand sold in 2011.
Introduced in 2009, the 13.8%-abv RumChata ($19.95 per 750-ml.) is produced and bottled by Agave Loco Brands of Pewauwee, Wisconsin. Now available in all 50 states, RumChata continues to rapidly expand its presence in the off-premise (sales were evenly split between the on- and off-premise until recently), especially after the rollout of additional bottle sizes earlier this year.
