Mike’s Hard Lemonade Moves Into Beer, Cider
April 17, 2013Mike’s Hard Lemonade Co., long one of the leaders in the U.S. RTD market, has entered the beer and cider categories with two new products—Mike’s Authentic Shandy and Mike’s Hard Smashed Apple Cider.
Mike’s Authentic Shandy features a mix of Mike’s Hard Lemonade and lager. It’s now available in 6-packs of bottles and 12-packs of cans. Mike’s Hard Smashed Apple Cider, meanwhile, features two editions: Crisp Apple, which Mike’s calls a “juicy, tart” product, and Classic Dry, a more traditional cider. Both varieties are available now in 6-packs of bottles. Crisp Apple is also available in a 16-ounce can for convenience stores.
Additionally, Mike’s has extended its RTD brand, with four frozen editions of existing flavors and a new seasonal product. Mike’s Hard Lemonade, Black Cherry Lemonade, Classic Margarita and Strawberry Lemonade have all been made available in frozen 10-ounce pouches, while the RTD line’s new seasonal, Mike’s Hard Blood Orange, is now rolling out and will be available through mid-summer.
