•Portland, Oregon-based Widmer Brothers Brewing has launched Kill Devil ’13 to its Brothers’ Reserve series. The brew is available for a limited time on draft and in 22-ounce bottles ($12.99 each). Kill Devil Brown Ale is an imperial brown ale that has been brewed using two types of molasses and palm sugars. It is then aged in rum barrels that have been sourced from Distilería Serrallés in Puerto Rico. In addition to a 2012 edition of Kill Devil, the Brothers’ Reserve series has also included Raspberry Russian Imperial Stout ’13, Chocolate Russian Imperial Stout ’13 and SXNW: South by Northwest, among others. Part of Craft Brew Alliance, Widmer Brothers also produces Rotator IPA Series, Drifter Pale Ale, Pitch Black IPA, Nelson Imperial IPA and a full four seasonal lineup.

•The Utah Brewers Cooperative’s Squatters and Wasatch brands are entering Massachusetts in May, their first East Coast market, through a partnership with Horizon Beverage. Offerings include Squatters’ Hop Rising and Classic American IPA labels, as well as Wasatch’s Ghostrider, Devastator, Apricot Hefeweizen and Polygamy Porter. The addition of Massachusetts will expand the Squatters and Wabatch U.S. footprint to 14 states.
