Frescobaldi Launches Tenuta dell’Ammiraglia In U.S.
May 17, 2013Marchesi de’ Frescobaldi is expanding its U.S. offering with the stateside launch of the wines of its newest estate, Tenuta dell’Ammiraglia. Now entering national distribution through Frescobaldi’s importer Folio Fine Wine Partners, Ammiraglia’s wines include: Vermentino Toscana IGT, a 100% Vermentino ($18); Terre More Cabernet Maremma Toscana DOC, a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Syrah ($18); and Pietraregia Morellino di Scansano Riserva DOCG ($25), the signature wine of the estate. Another wine, Ammiraglia Maremma Toscana IGT ($60), will be launched in the U.S. next year.
Frescobaldi’s other estates include Castello di Nipozzano, Castello di Pomino, CastelGiocondo and Tenuta di Castiglioni. The company posted a 3% rise in global sales to $108 million for 2012, with 15% of its business coming from the U.S.
