Terlato Expands Italian Range With Cusumano, Nino Franco

Terlato Wines has added two new offerings to its Italian portfolio. The first, Sicily’s Cusumano, is a family-owned winery, which spans roughly 1,000 acres and three separate estates. Cusumano features an extensive range of varietals, including indigenous grapes like Insolia and Nero d’Avola, as well as Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah, among others. Ranging in price from $12.99 a 750-ml. for its varietal wines up through $47.99 a 500-ml. for its Moscato dello Zucco, the Cusumano brand will be housed in Terlato’s Premier Portfolio of wines.

Concurrently, Terlato has partnered with Italy’s Nino Franco Spumanti to bring the Valdobbiadene-based estate’s sparkling wines to the U.S. Founded in 1919, the Nino Franco winery specializes in DOCG wines sourced from the Veneto region. Terlato will import Nino Franco’s Rustico Valdobbiadene DOCG, Faive Rose Brut, Brut Prosecco Superiore and Primo Franco Prosecco Brut Superiore sparklers, as well as single-vineyard offerings Vigneto Riva di San Floriano Prosecco Superiore and Grave di Stecca Brut Sparkling. Nino Franco’s line, which retails from $19.99 to $46.99 a 750-ml., will be part of Terlato’s Estate Portfolio.
