June 12, 2013•MillerCoors says it will expand capacity at its fast-growing craft and import unit, Tenth and Blake, with the addition of a new property in Milwaukee situated behind its existing 10th Street Brewery. The 110,000-square foot space, purchased from Securant Bank & Trust for an undisclosed sum, will be refurbished over the next few months and is expected to be functional by early next year. Tenth and Blake’s 10th Street Brewery currently produces a variety of beers for the company’s Chippewa Falls-based Jacob Leinenkugel Brewing Company, including its Big Eddy Series. It also supports additional production for other Tenth and Blake brews. Tenth and Blake president and CEO Tom Cardella said the addition of the new space will allow the Milwaukee operation to expand its overall brewing and packaging capacity looking ahead. The unit saw high single-digit growth in the 12 months through March, driven by Blue Moon and the national rollout of its newer Batch 19 label.

The Zymaster Series has also included California Lager, Mark’s Mild and Flying Cloud San Francisco Stout. Earlier this year, Anchor announced plans to build a new production and distribution facility on the San Francisco waterfront, expected to grow the company’s annual capacity to 600,000 barrels.
