September 18, 2013•Providence, Rhode Island’s Narragansett Beer has relaunched returning fall seasonal Narragansett Fest in select U.S. markets. Billed as a traditional German Oktoberfest-style beer, Narragansett Fest is brewed with Vienna, Pilsner and Light and Dark Munich malts and Northern Brewer and Tettnanger hops. The 5.5%-abv offering is currently available on draft and in 16-ounce cans across the New England, New York, New Jersey, Eastern Pennsylvania, Washington, D.C., North Carolina, Florida and Wisconsin markets, as well as in Nashville, Tennessee, for the first time. In addition to Fest, Narragansett’s lineup includes its Porter, Bock and Summer seasonals and the brand’s core Lager, Light and Cream labels.
•Oregon-based Full Sail Brewing is set to introduce three new brews. The first, Full Sail “26” Cascade Pilsner, was brewed in honor of the company’s 26th anniversary. A 6%-abv Pilsner, it will be available throughout Full Sail’s 26th year on draft and in 22-ounce bottles. The brewer is also releasing a draft-only Fresh Hop Pilsner (6%-abv) in the Pacific Northwest from September through November, as well as adding to its Brewer’s Share series with a new entry, Big Daddy J’s Imperial Lager, an 8%-abv brew available on draft and in 22-ounce bottles throughout the fall. Full Sail’s Brewer’s Share series supports local Oregon charities with a portion of the proceeds from the sale of each beer.
