November 4, 2013•Colorado’s Left Hand Brewing has unveiled the latest installment in its winter seasonal series Fade To Black. Volume five in the series is Black Rye Ale, a 7.8% abv brew that’s in distribution now in six-pack and draft format. Concurrently, Left Hand is revisiting Volumes 1-4 in the Fade To Black series—including Foreign Export Stout, Smoked Baltic Porter, Pepper Porter and Rocky Mountain Black Ale—by releasing a variety 12-pack featuring each of the brews. Longmont-based Left Hand’s beers are now available in 27 states.
•Brooklyn-based Sixpoint Brewing is debuting a new winter seasonal, Global Warmer Winter Ale. Available on draft and in 12-ounce cans, 7%-abv Global Warmer is billed as a rich, malty ale with citrus hop character and herbal spiciness. Sixpoint, whose core beers include Bengali Tiger IPA, Sweet Action cream ale, The Crisp lager, Righteous rye ale and Resin double IPA, expects to produce 60,000 barrels this year, more than double its 2012 output.
