November 8, 2013•Boulder, Colorado-based Avery Brewing is returning to the Northern California market after a three-year absence. DBI Beverage Inc. will be distributing Avery’s full portfolio across the region, beginning with a rollout in San Francisco this week. Avery’s line, which includes Avery IPA, The Maharaja Imperial IPA, White Rascal Belgian Wheat Ale and Mephistopheles’ Stout, is distributed in 23 states.
•Boston’s Harpoon Brewery is introducing the latest batch of its Winter Warmer winter seasonal. Available through December, Winter Warmer is a 5.9%-abv brew billed as a “malty, robust, mildly sweet” ale. Harpoon’s first seasonal—and one of the first seasonal beers on the market—it’s now in its 25th year. Among the 10 largest craft brewers in the country, Harpoon produced approximately 200,000 barrels in 2012.
