Washington On Pace For Record Harvest
November 22, 2013Washington state is set to post a new record grape crop, with estimates ranging between 200,000 and 220,000 tons. While the U.S. Department of Agriculture won’t set the official number until early next year, the total is expected to easily surpass last year’s record of 188,000 tons, which represented a one-third increase over 2011. Wine Spectator has a look at Washington’s harvest in the second of its five vintage reports for 2013.
