Surging Oskar Blues Set To Enter Five New States In Early 2014
January 6, 2014Colorado-based Oskar Blues Brewery is planning to enter five new markets within the first quarter of the year, including Idaho, Minnesota, Kansas, Nevada and Delaware. Additionally, the craft brewer is set to expand its presence in southern Alabama. The new markets will bring Oskar Blues’ distribution footprint to around 37 states, following the company’s recent entry into Michigan and Indiana last year. Oskar Blues—which, in addition to its headquarters in Longmont, Colorado, also operates a brewery in Brevard, North Carolina—is known for its core Dale’s Pale Ale, Mama’s Little Yella Pils and Old Chub labels, among others. In 2013, Oskar Blues produced around 119,000 barrels of beer, up nearly 40% from its 2012 output.
