•North Texas craft producer Lakewood Brewing has aligned with Dallas-based Andrews Distributing Company, which claims to hold a 76% market share of the North Texas specialty and craft category. Lakewood has been self-distributing since 2012 but will now have expanded reach with Andrews, whose craft and specialty portfolio also includes Shiner Bock, Blue Moon, Samuel Adams and Fort Worth’s Rahr & Son’s Brewing Company, which has grown 55% annually since joining up with Andrews in 2009. Earlier this month, the distributor acquired the Coors Distributing Company of Fort Worth, thus gaining eight brewing suppliers and 3,000 retail accounts in the region. Andrews’ distribution of Lakewood’s full portfolio is expected to begin in May.
