Heaven Hill Acquires Domaine de Canton Ginger Liqueur
July 9, 2014Heaven Hill Distilleries has augmented its liqueur stable with the acquisition of Domaine de Canton, a ginger liqueur, from Miami-based Maurice Cooper et Cie. The purchase price wasn’t disclosed. Launched in 2007, Domaine de Canton has gained an influential following in mixology circles, and Maurice Cooper et Cie told SND earlier this year it’s growing at around 30% annually. The brand retails around $34.99 a 750-ml., and is also sold in 375-ml. and 1-liter sizes.
Domaine de Canton joins a Heaven Hill liqueurs portfolio that already includes Pama pomegranate liqueur, Cinerator Hot Cinnamon whiskey liqueur, Hpnotiq and Copa de Oro coffee liqueur, among others. In addition to the departing Canton, Maurice Cooper et Cie markets Sweet Revenge, a 77-proof wild strawberry “sour mash” liqueur.
