Wine Spectator: Domaine Faiveley Stakes a Claim in Chablis
August 6, 2014Burgundy’s Domaine Faiveley has purchased Domaine Billaud-Simon, giving the Faiveley family their first vineyards in Chablis. The price for the 50-acre estate was not disclosed, but the Faiveley family is the sole investor. Faiveley has bought grapes to make Chablis as a négociant, expanding the range in 2005 to include grands and premiers crus, but now will focus on the new parcels almost exclusively.
