August 25, 2014•Domestic tax-paid beer volume declined 0.1% year-to-date through July, to 106 million barrels, according to an estimate by the Beer Institute. The crucial summer months have so far seen a fluctuating volume performance for the beer industry. The Beer Institute’s estimate showed a 1.9% decrease in tax-paid volume in May, followed by a 1.5% decline in June. Volume picked up in July, however, rising 1.2% to 16.4 million barrels for the month.
