Jackson Family Opens New Unit, West Burgundy Wine Group
September 17, 2014Sonoma County-based Jackson Family Wines is opening a new division, West Burgundy Wine Group, focused exclusively on estate-grown, site-specific wines crafted from classic Burgundian varieties. Headquartered at the Carneros Hills Winery that was previously owned by Buena Vista and is now part of the Jackson Family collection, West Burgundy Wine Group will be led by industry veteran Fred Reno—Jackson Family’s vice president of strategic projects—as director.
Initially, West Burgundy’s portfolio will include Champ de Rêves and Wild Ridge, both California Pinot Noir labels; Chardenet, a single-vineyard Chardonnay from the Sonoma Coast; Gran Moraine Pinot Noir from the Willamette Valley in Oregon; and Moillard-Grivot from Burgundy’s Côte d’Or.
