Campari America To Come Under New Leadership As Danis Departs

Campari America has confirmed to SND that Roy Danis, who had served as managing director since 2012, is no longer with the company.

In a brief statement, Campari said: “We can confirm that Roy Danis is no longer managing director of Campari America. Campari managing director of North America Jean-Jacques Dubau will be leading Campari’s U.S. business until a replacement is named.”

Among Campari America’s key brands, Skyy vodka increased 1.6% to 2.9 million cases in a competitive U.S. vodka market last year, according to Impact Databank, and saw volume grow 3.6% in IRI channels in the 52 weeks through November 30. Wild Turkey Bourbon rose 7.4% in IRI data over the same period, following a 4.6% increase to 560,000 cases overall in 2013. Campari’s Carolans (+3.6%) and American Honey (+17%) liqueurs were also on the rise in IRI channels in the year through November.
