WBG Announces Leadership Changes, With Danny Wirtz Named President

Danny Wirtz has been named president of Wirtz Beverage Group (WBG), succeeding his father Rocky Wirtz, who will remain chairman of the wine, spirits and beer wholesaler. Danny Wirtz was previously executive vice president of the group, a role in which he reorganized its overall sales and marketing functions. As president, Wirtz will oversee day-to-day operations across the company’s domestic and international businesses.

Meanwhile, Arthur Wirtz III has been appointed COO of WBG. A grandson of founder Arthur Wirtz and cousin of Rocky, Arthur Wirtz III was most recently executive vice president of supply chain. Prior to that he was vice president, operations, at WBG Illinois, in addition to several other roles during his 20 years with the company.

WBG had estimated revenues of $1.8 billion last year across its U.S. wine and spirits wholesaling businesses, according to Impact Newsletter.
