•Washington state’s Chateau Ste. Michelle is adding two new offerings to its Anew Wines offshoot, a Pinot Grigio and Rose. The 2014 Anew Pinot Grigio is sourced from Washington’s Yakima Valley, while the 2014 Anew Rose is made from a Columbia Valley-sourced blend of Syrah and Sangiovese. Anew, which was founded in 2013, also offers a Riesling. All three wines are available nationally in custom-made bottles with screw cap closures for about $12.

•A grand jury in Frankfort, Kentucky has indicted nine people for alleged participation in a ring that stole more than $100,000 worth of Bourbon over the past several years, the Franklin County Commonwealth District Attorney’s office said. According to a report in the Wall Street Journal, the haul included cases of aged Pappy Van Winkle and barrels of Wild Turkey. Investigators said the missing barrels of Wild Turkey were found in the backyard of an employee who worked on the distillery’s loading dock. Authorities recovered more than 20 cases of Pappy Van Winkle that allegedly were sold by the group’s ringleader, a Buffalo Trace employee named Toby Curtsinger. According to the Journal, authorities say at least some of the recovered Pappy Van Winkle can be traced to a widely publicized theft two years ago of 200 bottles of Pappy Van Winkle 20-Year-Family Reserve—a haul worth $25,000 at retail.
