Total Wine On The Move In Missouri
June 17, 2015Total Wine & More has revealed plans for three new stores in the St. Louis area as part of a wider rollout into the Missouri market. In addition to its previously disclosed locations in the St. Louis suburbs of Town and Country and Brentwood, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that Total Wine is also planning a Chesterfield store, and is actively scouting more potential venues in the St. Louis area and elsewhere in the state. Total Wine’s Town and Country outpost is scheduled to open later this summer, with the Brentwood and Chesterfield locations slated for fall openings.
Total Wine’s stores average 25,000 square feet and hold up to $3.5 million in inventory. The retail giant’s move into Missouri marks its first foray into the nation’s heartland. With the exception of its expanding presence in Minnesota, Total Wine’s 116 current stores are located mainly in an Eastern Seaboard swath from Connecticut down to Florida, and in a band stretching across the Southwest and West, from Texas up through Washington state.
