July 14, 2015•California’s Montalvo Spirits has named industry veteran Dave Stringfellow chief operating officer. Concurrently, Montalvo has partnered with Stringfellow’s company Beacon Beverage Imports, based in Texas. Under the tie-up, Montalvo’s namesake upscale Tequila will join the Beacon portfolio, which also includes Mata Hari Absinthe and Square One vodka, among other brands. Before starting Beacon, Stringfellow held national sales posts for Sazerac, Diageo forerunner Heublein and Cabo Wabo Tequila among other industry roles.
