Whisky Advocate Announces Annual American, Canadian and Irish Award Winners
December 7, 2015Whisky Advocate has named its annual award winners from the American, Canadian and Irish whisk(e)y segments. John E. Fitzgerald Very Special Reserve 20-year-old (45% abv, $300/375ml) has taken the title of American Whiskey of the Year, while Crown Royal 75th Anniversary Blend (40% abv, $75) won honors in the Canadian category. Midleton Dair Ghaelach: Grinsell’s Wood (58.3% abv, $270) is the magazine’s Irish Whiskey of the Year. Whisky Advocate is announcing its annual award honorees one day at a time on its blog, culminating with the naming of a Lifetime Achievement honoree on December 15 and the Distiller of the Year announcement on December 16.
