News Briefs for December 16, 2015

•Diageo’s Distill Ventures brand incubator has made its second investment in a little over a week, announcing an undisclosed stake in Australia’s Starward Whisky. The move will give Starward funds to increase production and reach new markets, as well as develop its innovation pipeline. The investment in Starward follows last week’s announcement that Distill had injected about $14.5 million into Denmark’s Stauning Whisky.
