Crimson Wine Group Acquires Washington’s Seven Hills Winery
January 28, 2016Crimson Wine Group has purchased Washington state’s Seven Hills Winery for an undisclosed sum. Located in Eastern Washington’s Walla Walla Valley, Seven Hills specializes in Merlot and Bordeaux-style red blends, with a portfolio that retails primarily within the $28-$45 a 750-ml. range. Under the deal, Seven Hills winemaker Casey McClellan will remain involved the winery’s operations, alongside his wife, Vicky McClellan, with whom he co-founded Seven Hills in 1988. The winery joins Crimson’s existing holdings, which include Napa’s Pine Ridge Vineyards; Healdsburg’s Seghesio Vineyards; Dayton, Oregon’s Archery Summit; San Luis Obispo’s Chamisal Vineyards; and Prosser, Washington’s Double Canyon.
