April 7, 2016•Missouri-based Schlafly Beer is launching a new Summer Patio Pack, a 12-pack sampler retailing at about $15. The sampler pack includes Schlafly’s latest year-round brew, Grapefruit IPA, as well as Summer Lager, Raspberry Hefeweizen and Yakima Wheat Ale. Schlafly, which is present in 15 U.S. markets, has a current capacity of 60,000 barrels, and recently announced an expansion that will boost that total by 50% to 90,000 barrels by next year.
•California’s Napa Smith Brewery is entering the New York market this month. Napa Smith is entering Westchester and Putnam counties, where its Golden Gate IPA, Hopageddon Imperial IPA, Amber Ale and Pilsner labels will be distributed by D. Bertoline & Sons. Napa Smith is a subsidiary of Nashville-based beer, wine and spirits supplier R.S. Lipman Company.
