May 6, 2016•Boston’s Harpoon Brewery has unveiled Harpoon Sweet Spot, its latest year-round offering. Billed as a golden ale-style brew, Sweet Spot is made with German noble hops and is currently rolling out in 12-ounce bottles and cans, as well as on draft. The 4.8%-abv entry joins Harpoon’s IPA, Take 5, Camp Wannamango and Leviathan IPA in the brewer’s core year-round portfolio.
•Pittsburgh-based Penn Brewery is getting in on the fruit-flavored beer trend with a new Tangerine Swirl Ale. The 4.9% abv brew is made with tangerine and Madagascar vanilla and is debuting this month in six- and 12-packs and on draft. Penn has also begun offering its flagship Pilsner in cans for the first time, with the new format now available in six- and 12-packs. Penn Brewery distributes to Pennsylvania, New York, Ohio, Maryland, New Jersey and West Virginia.
