May 23, 2016•Frederick Wildman & Sons is adding a number of new Burgundy estates represented by Becky Wasserman’s Le Serbet to its distribution portfolio in New York and New Jersey. Wildman will serve as the New York and New Jersey distributor of Burgundy’s Domaine Michel Lafarge, Domaine Jean-Frederic Mugnier, Domaine des Epeneaux/Comte Armand, Dominique Gruhier and Lafarge Vial. The new additions, which range from $27-$236 a bottle, join Wildman’s Burgundy portfolio of more than 20 domaines from across the region.
•Blackheath Beverage Group has appointed longtime beverage industry executive Michael Rieck as acting CEO. Rieck replaces Jay Harkins, who recently left the Stamford, Connecticut-based Blackheath. Rieck, who was formerly Blackheath’s president of sales, is also an equity partner. He previously held executive posts at Bacardi, Charmer Industries and Schieffelin & Somerset, among other companies. Meanwhile, Michael Farbenblum, who founded Blackheath in 2012, will continue as the company’s COO.
