June 7, 2016•Bloomington, Indiana-based Upland Brewing Co. is expanding its sour ales program with a new facility expressly devoted to the sour ale style. Located adjacent to Upland’s 11th Street Brew Pub in Bloomington, the sour ale facility is called The Wood Shop, and will allow the company to extend availability of its sours to new markets and offer additional formats like draft and 330-ml. and 500-ml. bottles. Until now, Upland’s sour ales have been distributed primarily through its Secret Barrel Society in a 750-ml. format.
