•Trinidad and Tobago-based conglomerate ANSA McAL has acquired Cape Canaveral’s Florida Beer Company for an undisclosed sum, reports Florida Today. Florida Beer, which produces 45,000 barrels annually and is targeting an expansion to 100,000 barrels, brews 28 styles of beer, such as Key West Sunset Ale, Hurricane Reef Caribbean Pilsner, Florida Lager and Devils Triangle IPA.

•Portland, Oregon’s Ecliptic Brewing is releasing Carina Peach Sour Ale as a year-round offering this month. The 5.5%-abv beer is brewed with Pale malt and lactobacillus for a tart finish. Carina Peach Sour Ale will be available on draft and in 22-ounce bottles beginning August 3. It joins Capella Porter, Orbiter IPA and Spica Pilsner in the Ecliptic All the Time Series of year-round brews.
