August 16, 2016•Douglas, Michigan-based Saugatuck Brewing Company is expanding its distribution footprint with entry into the Florida market. The brewer has partnered with Microman Distributors of Oldsmar for distribution in the Sunshine State. Founded in 2005, Saugatuck brews 17 styles of beer such as its Blueberry Maple Stout, Oval Beach Blonde, Third Bear and Bonfire Brown, among others. Its offerings are available in four- and six-packs throughout Michigan, Ohio, Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Indiana, Kentucky, Florida, eastern Pennsylvania and western Missouri.
•San Francisco’s Anchor Brewing Company is set to launch Anchor Dry-Hopped Steam Beer, a limited edition entry. A play on the brewer’s flagship Anchor Steam Beer, the new expression is dry-hopped with a blend of both new and classic hop varieties. Anchor Dry-Hopped Steam Beer will be available in 12-ounce bottles and on draft nationwide from September to December. Anchor Brewing’s most popular year-round offering, Anchor Steam Beer has been produced by the brewery since 1896.
