August 25, 2016•Charlottesville, Virginia-based Starr Hill Brewery has added two new fall offerings—Last Leaf Maple Brown Ale and Basketcase American Helles—to its seasonal lineup. Last Leaf Maple, which is brewed with maple syrup, replaces Starr Hill’s Boxcar Pumpkin Porter seasonal, while Basketcase, which joins the brewer’s Heavy Rotation Series, is a play on a German Helles, made with Cascade hops. Both entries will be available in six-packs and on draft, and join the Northern Lights IPA and Whiter Shade White IPA labels in Starr Hill’s Fall Tour Variety Pack.
•Hawaii’s Maui Brewing has partnered with Windy City Distributing to enter the Illinois market. Maui Brewing’s flagship Bikini Blonde Lager, Big Swell IPA, Coconut Hiwa Porter and Pineapple Mana Wheat will initially debut throughout the Chicago area, with limited edition and seasonal brews set to follow. Wider distribution across the state is planned for the coming weeks. Established in 2005, Maui Brewing is projecting annual production of around 45,000 barrels this year.
