Wine Spectator Names Kim Marcus Napa Bureau Chief, Cordelia Winton Managing Editor

September 22, 2016

Longtime Wine Spectator managing editor Kim Marcus is returning to his native California to become a senior editor and bureau chief of the magazine’s Napa Valley office. Kim, who has been with the company for 28 years, was working as editor of the St. Helena Star when he was hired by Wine Spectator in 1988. Wine Spectator editor and publisher Marvin R. Shanken said Marcus’s new appointment “will strengthen the publication’s coverage on the West Coast.”

Meanwhile, Wine Spectator assistant managing editor Cordelia Winton has been promoted to managing editor of the magazine, based in New York. Cordelia, who began her career with M. Shanken Communications in the advertising department before transitioning to the editorial side, has been with the company for 22 years.
