December 19, 2016•Oskar Blues is planning to open a restaurant and beer bar in downtown Colorado Springs next summer. Located in the historic DeGraff building, the new concept will occupy 15,000 square feet on two levels. The bar will feature 43 craft beers from around the country on tap. With breweries in Longmont, Colorado; Brevard, North Carolina; and Austin, Texas, Oskar Blues produced just under 200,000 barrels last year.
•Burlington, Vermont-based Switchback Brewing is expanding its year-round lineup with the addition of Citra-Pils Keller Bier. First created in 2014 as a specialty offering, Citra-Pils is made with light pils malt and Saaz and Citra hops. The 5.1%-abv brew will be available across Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Maine and New York in 12-ounce bottles, 22-ounce bottles and on draft starting next year. Citra-Pils marks the second Switchback label to be widely produced and distributed year-round, joining the brewer’s flagship Switchback Ale.
