January 26, 2017•Fennville, Michigan-based Virtue Cider has launched its Bourbon barrel-aged cider The Mitten in 12-ounce bottles. The Mitten, previously available only at the company’s Virtue Farm shop, is debuting throughout the Chicago area and across Michigan next week. Made with cider aged for 11 months in ex-Bourbon barrels sourced from Wild Turkey, Jim Beam and Heaven Hill, the 6.8%-abv offering is blended with freshly pressed apple juice. The Mitten joins the Michigan Brut and Michigan Harvest ciders in Virtue’s core 12-ounce bottle lineup. Virtue was co-founded by former Goose Island brewmaster Greg Hall in 2011.
