February 10, 2017•Washington, D.C.-based craft distiller Don Ciccio & Figli is introducing a new artichoke-based liqueur, C3 Carciofo. C3 is a bitter aperitivo based on an infusion of three types of California-grown artichokes, cardoons, grapefruit and 18 botanicals. It is aged in barrel for 12 months and bottled at 23% abv. C3 Carciofo is rolling out nationally, retailing at $36 a 750-ml. Fourth-generation distiller Francesco Amodeo founded Don Ciccio & Figli in 2012, specializing in amaro, aperitivs and cordials.
•Salt Lake City, Utah’s Uinta Brewing is debuting a new golden ale celebrating the U.S. national park system. Brewed with Carapils and Crystal malts and Willamette and Sterling hops, the 5.3%-abv golden ale is launching in six-packs and on draught this month across Uinta’s 37-state footprint, with its outer packaging featuring a rotating series of scenes from Americas national parks.
