April 7, 2017•Anchor Brewing and the San Francisco Giants have teamed up to create Los Gigantes, a 4.5%-abv Mexican-style lager. The beer is made with flaked maize and 2-row malt, plus Cluster and Tettnang hops. It will be offered on draft, in 12-ounce cans and in 16-ounce cans—a first for Anchor Brewing. The 12-ounce cans will retail at $8.99 a six-pack and the 16-ounce cans will sell at $7.99 a four-pack. In addition to being served at the Giants’ stadium, The Yard, Los Gigantes will be distributed in Northern California, Nevada and Hawaii.
•Full Sail Brewery has released the newest addition to its Brewmaster Reserve Series: Oatmeal Pale Ale. The beer is brewed with oats, pale and crystal malts and Mosaic and Simcoe hops. The 6.6%-abv brew will be distributed through August in 22-ounce bottles and on draft. Full Sail’s beers are available in 28 states.
