May 26, 2017•Mayflower Brewing Co. has released New World IPA, the latest expression in the brewery’s year-round lineup. New World IPA, a 6%-abv unfiltered American-style IPA, is citrus and tropical fruit-driven. The beer complements Mayflower’s IPA lineup, adding a third style following Mayflower’s English-style IPA and double IPA. The Plymouth, Massachusetts-based brewery’s newest beer is now available on draft and in six-packs of 12-ounce cans throughout the company’s New England distribution area.
•San Francisco’s FDR Brewing has launched Fallen Comrade Red Ale. Owner and brewer Kevin Inglin, a retired Army Lt. Col. who served in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom, brewed Fallen Comrade as a tribute to fallen service members. The company will donate a portion of Fallen Comrade’s taproom-sales over Memorial Day weekend to The Memory Box Project, an organization that makes heirlooms for families of deceased soldiers.
•Michigan-based North Pier Brewing will introduce two of its beers, Buckrider and the Conjurer, in cans for the first time. Buckrider, North Pier’s Belgian-style IPA, is a 6.7%-abv ale made with Belgian yeast and American hops. The Conjurer, a Belgian Golden Ale, is an 8.7%-abv strong ale.
