July 13, 2017•Louisville, Kentucky’s Copper & Kings American Brandy Co. is launching Destillaré, a new line of liqueurs. Destillaré will debut its first two products in August, an Intense Orange Curaçao (90 proof) and limited-release fortified Mistelle (60 proof), retailing at $35 and $40 a 750-ml., respectively. Both are non-chill-filtered, copper pot-distilled brandy base infusions without the addition of sugar or colorants. Copper & Kings, which also produces brandy and absinthe, has a U.S. footprint of 30 states.
•Texas-based Ben Milam Whiskey has released its second offering, Ben Milam Rye. The 40%-abv whiskey is billed as embodying aspects of the typical rye profile while offering bold region-specific flavors like black pepper. Currently, Ben Milan Bourbon and Rye are available through Southern Glazer’s across Texas as well as at the distillery’s Blanco, Texas tasting room.
