July 25, 2017•Illinois importer Winesellers, Ltd. has expanded its portfolio with Prosper Maufoux, a Santenay, France–based Burgundy producer. Three white wines, a red, a rosé and a sparkling wine will be available starting in August. The new offerings, which will be distributed across Winesellers’ wholesale network, include a Bourgogne Chardonnay AOC ($19 a 750-ml.), Mâcon Villages AOC ($17), Chablis AOC ($27), Bourgogne Pinot Noir AOC ($19), NV Cremant de Bourgogne Blanc AOC ($19) and NV Crémant de Bourgogne Rosé AOC ($19). This marks the relaunch of Prosper Maufoux in the United States, which was previously imported by American wine expert Robert Fairchild until his death in 2009.
•Wauconda, Illinois-based Small Town Brewery has extended its Not Your Father’s hard soda range with a new Mountain Ale expression. Featuring citrus flavors, the 5%-abv offering joins Not Your Father’s flagship Root Beer, as well as its Vanilla Cream Ale and Ginger Ale offshoots. Not Your Father’s Mountain Ale will be available in six-packs of 12-ounce bottles ($10.99 each) and 24-ounce cans ($2.75 each).
