On June 30 of last year, Southern Wine & Spirits of America and Glazer’s Inc. finalized their merger deal and launched spirits and wine distribution giant Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits, LLC. The deal, which had been announced six months earlier, created a distributor with total revenues projected at $17.5 billion for 2017. Southern Glazer’s today handles more than 150 million cases of wine and spirits annually, employs over 20,000 people and operates in 44 states plus the District of Columbia, in addition to the Caribbean and Canada.
