September 26, 2017•Michigan’s New Holland Spirits is set to launch a new entry, Beer Barrel Rye, on October 1.The whiskey is a non-age statement release finished in New Holland Brewing’s Dragon’s Milk Stout barrels. The 44%-abv whiskey is the second beer barrel-finished spirit released by New Holland, following the October 2012 debut of Beer Barrel Bourbon. New Holland Beer Barrel Rye will be available in limited quantities in the company’s 19-state distribution footprint.
•Twisted X Brewing Company is rolling out two new beers in its home market of Texas. Gulf Kolsch is a 5.1%-abv ale made with European and domestic hops, while Whoa-Mango IPA, a 5.8%-abv ale, is brewed with Citra and Azacca hops and balances hoppy and tropical fruit flavors. Both Gulf Kolsch and Whoa-Mango IPA are available in six-packs of 12-ounces and will be distributed to on- and off-premise locations throughout Texas.
